Days of Awe
With Rev. Esther Wallace, Anne Jungerman, and Brian Shaw
Many Jewish Unitarian Universalists are observing the month of Elul, leading up to the ten days beginning with Rosh Hashanah and ending with Yom Kippur, which are known as the Days of Awe. This is a time for introspection and restoring and repairing our relationships with ourselves, each other, and the world. What might the portal of the Days of Awe offer us as Unitarian Universalists in these turbulent times, and how might we approach collective practices of restoration and repair?
Esther Wallace works and plays in the realms of meaning-making, sacred space, and social justice. Raised Christian, Esther has cherished being invited to profound experiences in Buddhist, Taoist, Humanist, Muslim, and Pagan communities. Esther is a Jewish Unitarian Universalist and a graduate of Starr King School for the Ministry and is very interested in emergent spiritual communities and the intersections of ministry and disability.
