Madeline Hernandez, North Bay Regional Directing Attorney from Immigration Institute of the Bay Area (IIBA), will present on recent updates/changes to immigration law including the current status of DACA, the Public Charge, TPS, and humanitarian parole from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela.
Madeline Hernandez graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law and was admitted to the California Bar in 2012. In June 2013 Madeline inaugurated IIBA Napa as a team of one, serving as Program Director and staff attorney. Today, Madeline is the North Bay Regional Directing Attorney and oversees a staff of 15. Previously she worked as a private immigration attorney and a legal fellow with the Katharine & George Alexander Community Law Center in San Jose. Madeline is on the Board of Directors at OLE Health and the recipient of the 2019 Napa CanDo Spirit Award.
