“Living Like the River: Including Rapids and Boulders”

with Rev. Beth Banks, Vicki Wolf, and Brian Shaw

On October 20, the election is only weeks away, and unless a miracle happens, the country will continue to be radically divided even after Tuesday, November 5. In addition to election news, the internet sends detailed stories about disasters oceans away. With so much information urging us to be cautious or fearful, how do we stay afloat?

This service is intended to be one island of hope in an age of overwhelm.

Rev. Beth Banks served in Parish Ministry for 34 years. Fund raising for non-profits is a long time interest of hers. Currently, she’s working with The Davis Community Chorale as the co-chair for a newly established Donor and Concert Underwriter Development Team. Creating community through fund raising is one characteristic of a thriving democracy!  Beth’s fun reading: Boards on Fire: Inspiring Leaders to Raise Money Joyfully by Susan Howlett, Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt and Mini-Aussie, Stop Herding Me, (hoping to find this book soon).
